By Rachael Okechi
The relaunch of ESUT Monitor Newspaper has continued to receive wide encomium from among the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT community.
Following on the heel of the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Professor Chioma Oleka who lauded the effort to restore the newspaper is the Acting ESUT Librarian, Dr Jacinta Ukamaka Eze has described the newspaper as medium to drive the image of the school globally.
Speaking when the ESUT Monitor Editorial Team paid her a visit in her office on Tuesday, Dr Eze described Newspaper as a compendium of information and a critical element of the library
“I just glanced through it and I can say that the team has done a great job. I hope that it will not go back to what it has been before. Maybe you continue for a while and you have a break, no!
“Newspaper is a serial publication in the library. It’s one of the most outstanding serial publication periodicals because most of them come daily. That’s why we call them dailies but something like the ones that belong to organizations or institutions like this can be periodical maybe monthly, but it has to be continuous.
“However the continuity is what matters because serial publications are one of the most outstanding resources we have regards for in the information world. I will enjoin you to make sure that you keep up the good work that I have seen in this newspaper today because it will go a long way in projecting our institution to the global world,” she said.
