Perhaps, one would not had imagined that the superhero “spider man” we all watch in America movies is a far tale that could not be found within the campus arena. But the reality is obvious and the mission of the elusive ghostly “spider man in Campus” does not create a wave of entertainment. Rather it leaves the “audience” with memories so uncomforting.
In a disconcerting turn of events, wave of thefts have struck campus lodges, leaving students on edge and authorities grappling with the challenge of ensuring campus safety. The sequence of the thievery follows and proposed pattern, the appearance of a “Spider man”
For instance, on December 1, 2023, a gist surfaced from a lodge within the school premises detailing a daring theft that unfolded in the dead of the night. The victims, students, were startled awake by unfamiliar sounds. To their horror, a hand was spotted through their window, swiftly making off with their phones. Fearing for their safety as women alone, they sought refuge at the other corner of the room where the “spider man’s” could not reach. Little did they know that the ghostly hand of the “spider man” disappeared with their belongings. The subsequent review of the lodge’s CCTV footage proved unhelpful, failing to capture the elusive thief’s face.
Unfortunately, the ordeal repeated itself in another lodge within school environment on the night of December 5, 2023, but with a new twist. This time, the “spider men” bypassed barriers by scaling the lodge’s fence. Their target: clothes left outside by unsuspecting students. As morning broke, students were met with the unsettling reality that their belongings had vanished overnight.
These incidents have prompted a stark reminder for students to exercise heightened vigilance and avoid leaving their valuables exposed to potential thievery. The call for increased caution is urgent, as stories circulate about the elusive “spider-man” who infiltrates rooms or hostels unnoticed, executing their misdeeds with a ghost-like finesse before disappearing without a trace.
Campus gist calls of the security officials to intensive their surveillance and arrest the “spider man” who has been torment the female hostel occupant with ease. The students are also urged to be extra security cautions and take the following precautions: report suspicious movements within your hostels to the security, lock your doors and windows securely, refrain from leaving personal items unattended, do not keep your electronic gadgets close to the windows and be careful of the people you invite to your lodges. The school administration is actively working to enhance security measures to curb these incidents and ensure the safety of the campus community.
As the campus grapples with these unsettling events, the emphasis on personal responsibility and vigilance becomes paramount in fostering a secure living and learning environment for all students.
