Reshaping society through Academic Excellence: ESUT’s 19th Convocation Ceremony

The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) 19th Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, November 18, 2023, provided a fitting platform to reflect on the institution’s commendable contributions to reshaping society through the provision of a quality academic environment.

Under the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, ESUT has consistently demonstrated its commitment to excellence in education. Prof Okolie’s stoical efforts have transformed the institution into a citadel of knowledge, where students are not just educated but empowered to be leaders and change-makers in their respective fields.

The annual convocation ceremony, now a hallmark annual event, stands as a testament to Prof Okolie’s dedication to academic milestones. His relentless pursuit of educational excellence has elevated ESUT’s status and underscored the importance of this yearly gathering in celebrating academic achievements.

A special commendation is also due to Prof Martins Anikwe, Chairman of the ESUT Ceremonial Committee, for his outstanding performance and unwavering zeal in organising the convocation ceremony. Prof Anikwe’s leadership has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of this significant event.

Moreover, it is essential to recognise and applaud the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, for his role in bringing back the lost glory of ESUT. His strategic vision, coupled with pragmatic initiatives, has revitalized the academic and infrastructural landscape of the institution, reaffirming ESUT’s position as a premier centre of learning.

As we anticipate the 20th Convocation Ceremony expectedly scheduled to hold in November next year, let us celebrate ESUT’s journey of academic excellence and societal impact. The occasion is not just a commemoration of academic achievements but a reaffirmation of ESUT’s commitment to shaping a brighter future through education.

Dr. Felix Ugwu, from the Department of Business Administration at ESUT, expresses his pride in being part of an institution that continues to inspire and lead in reshaping society through the provision of a quality academic environment. May ESUT’s legacy of excellence endure and continue to influence generations to come.

Here’s to the 19th Convocation and to ESUT, a beacon of knowledge and transformation! Congratulations!
