Rangers Vs Shooting: Gov. Peter declares free ticket for fans tomorrow

The Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Ndubisi Mbah has thrown open the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium gate for fans as the state owned football Club, Rangers International make a return to the stadium which is their home ground where they will face visiting Shooting Stars FC in matchday 16 of the 2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL
Rangers are playing their first home game at the stadium following renovation of the pitch which lasted for two years and two months.
The General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the club, Mr Amobi Ezeaku disclosed this in a press briefing in Enugu ahead of the cracker which will kick-off by 4pm
“The Governor is going to pay for the tickets on the 28th for our fans who will come to watch the game at the Cathedral. In other words, the gate is thrown open at the behest of Dr Peter Mbah, just for the game on the 28th of December.
“He said, ‘if the fans has waited for two years, Rangers should at least give them an open gate.’ We said we don’t have money and then he promised he’ll pay for the tickets. So when you see my boss you’ll thank him for paying for the tickets.” he said.
The former Team manager of the club appealed to the fans to paint the stadium in red and white jersey in the game.
“The gate of the Cathedral for the game against Shooting Stars has be thrown open, but we want to add, make the Cathedral colorful, go and buy your Rangers jersey, come to the Cathedral on the 28th on either white or red jersey, let’s color the Cathedral.”
