In a ground-breaking move towards the future, FMS ESUT is set to unveil its cutting-edge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Laboratory Centre in June 2024. This milestone achievement is a testament to the forward-thinking leadership of Prof. Chioma Oleka, the first female Dean of FMS ESUT.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, speaking at the foundation laying ceremony at the ESUT campus in Agbani, commended FMS’s proactive efforts under the visionary leadership of Prof. Oleka. Represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Chike Nwoha, the VC highlighted the center’s pivotal role in equipping students for the challenges of the industrial revolution era, emphasizing its significance for the entire university community and neighboring areas.

Prof. Oleka, in less than two months from conceptualization, has propelled the ICT Laboratory Centre from vision to reality, showcasing not only her dedication but also FMS ESUT’s commitment to staying at the forefront of educational innovation. During an award night, she passionately advocated for the need for an ICT laboratory center, opening avenues for collaboration and sponsorship. The rapid response from Chief Arthur Eze has been instrumental in driving the project forward.
