ESUT’s Pharmacy Best Graduating Student Osita Ezinne Receives Four Awards

The 2022/2023 Pharmaceutical Sciences Best Graduating Student in ESUT, Osita Tracy Ezinne has received four accolades for her sterling performance
The 24-year-old Pharmacist came first among 6 students who had distinction as Overall Best Graduating Student with a CGPA of 4.88.
Pharmacist Osita delivered her speech during the Induction/Oath Taking Ceremony of the Pharmaceutical graduates on August 29, 2024 at the Prof Julius Onah Auditorium, ESUT, Agbani.
She has thus far received awards as the Best Student in several departments, including the Department of Pharmacognosy, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Biopharmaceutics, as well as the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology.
This accomplishment serves as a testament to her years of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and commitment.
Pharmacist Osita who aspires to further her studies after her internship and National Youth Service, advised undergraduates to always aspire for their drams and tae their studies very seriously.
“My name is Osita Tracy Ezinne, I’m a Pharmacist and I graduated from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. I hail from Ugwuleru in Umu-nneochi LGA, Abia State but resides in Lagos State.
“I am honoured to share that I achieved the distinction of being the Overall Best Graduating Student in my cohort, with a CGPA of 4.88. Furthermore, I received accolades as the Best Student in several departments, including the Department of Pharmacognosy, the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Biopharmaceutics, as well as the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology. This accomplishment serves as a testament to my years of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and commitment.
“I take great pride in my role as a Pharmacist. I am filled with enthusiasm for the remarkable journey that lies ahead, prepared to assist humanity, one prescription at a time. I recognize that this path will be lengthy, yet I remain deeply grateful to all those who have contributed to making this dream a reality—my family, friends, mentors, supervisors, and partners. This achievement is a collective victory for us all. I appreciate your support throughout my journey.
“God was and is still my pillar. I just kept God first and also studied. I did not really have a particular study pattern, I just did what worked for me per time. Sometimes it was night study, sometimes it was afternoon study. But one thing I ensured I did was never missing lectures unless on days it couldn’t be helped because by God’s grace I grab things fast,” she told ESUT Monitor in an exclusive interview.
She appealed for help to enable her get a good place for her internship
“Right now, I’m preparing to start my one-year internship program. I’ve not found a place yet, and I’ll be so glad if I could receive help in getting a good hospital to run my program. But right after my internship program, Service and then, I’ll prepare to further my studies….God willing.”
When asked if she would return to ESUT for her Masters, Miss Osita said “Oh no, I plan on furthering outside the Country.”
It remains to be seen if Pharmacist Osita Tracy Ezinne would emerge the overall Best Graduating Student of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology for the 2023/2024 academic year when the convocation holds on November 23, 2024.
