Prof Nnamani Replaces Prof Udeze As Director General Studies ESUT

An Erudite pedagogist, Prof Mary Nnamani on Tuesday assumed duty as the new Director, General Studies, ESUT.
Prof Nnamani’s assumption of office took effect following the handover ceremony held at the General Studies’ Director’s office where the former occupier, Prof Sunny Udeze relinquished the administration for her.
Speaking after the handover, the new Director, Prof Nnamani said her new position offers her the opportunity to make more impact in the affairs of the students.
While describing her predecessor as a “friend and brother” the new Director noted that she will work to improve on the gaps identified and seek ways to achieve them.
The Professor of Health Education stressed that the General Studies Division is critical in moulding the students.
“I’m Mary Ngozi Nnamani, a professor of Health Education and the newly appointed director GS. I just stepped in today, I will look at the many works that he did and he has also narrated to me new areas that we still have gaps to be filled. I will work towards filling those gaps that has been identified by him and also find those ones that I should identify by myself. That’s why I’m here, so that we can move this place forward,” the new director told our correspondent in an interview in her new office.
“GS is critical in moulding the students and that is why before you graduate, you must pass through here. Also, the welfare of the staff is a priority and I will pay attention to that and motivate them to enhance their productivity.”
Earlier, the immediate past Director, Professor Sunny Udeze congratulated his successor on her appointment and promised to be available for any help required.
When asked about his stewardship, Prof Udeze said “I can’t assess myself as a person. Ask the people around what I did. However, landscaping of the GS Complex, part of it, and welfare of the staff were my top priority. The VC promised to take it further from where I stopped and I have advised the new director to follow it up.
