ESUT Monitor Newspaper Pays Courtesy Visit to Institute of Continuing Studies, Establishes Newsstand

Enugu – In continuation of its awareness creation with the ranks of ESUT staff, the Editorial Team of the ESUT Monitor Newspaper (EMN) on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Director of Institute of Continuing Studies, (ICS) Prof Oliver Inyiama and his board.
On the EMN team were the Staff Adviser, Mr Amaechi Agbo; News Editor, Joseph Joy; reporters – Amarachi Daniel, Eze Peter and Rachael Okechi.
Expressing delight over the visit, Prof Inyiama lauded the ESUT Monitor Newspaper for becoming the conscience of the university and propagating the activities extensively to the globally community.
While commending the team, the Director further noted that the institute will partner with ESUT Monitor on promoting its activities and render every other help need including the establishment of a newsstand in the institute
Earlier in his remark, Mr Agbo informed the director and his board that the team came to officially introduce the newspaper to them, seek areas of collaboration as well establish a newsstand for the newspaper where recent editions of the newspaper would be displayed for staff and students to buy.
“We are primarily here to introduce the newspaper officially to the institute, seek for areas of collaboration and also request for a newsstand.
“The newsstand is where we would display our current edition so that staff and students of the institute can pick a copy, read and get information about what is going on in ESUT,” he said

Highlights of the visit were presentation of a copy of EMN to the Director as well as to all the six staff present by the News Editor, Joseph Joy, exclusive interview with the Director as well as group pictures with the board.
It could be recalled that EMN on Wednesday began awareness campaign to sensitize ESUT staff and students on the existence of the newspaper and the need to utilize the opportunity effectively in publicizing their activities.
The team visited the Dean of School of Postgraduate Studies Prof Charles Chime; the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof Ifeoma Okwo and ASUU ESUT Branch Chairman, Professor Emeka Nnamani.
