By Chiekezie Emmanuel

Ezeagu – ESUT’s management on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the university’s Director of Academic Planning, Prof Chike Anibeze, to commiserate with him on the passing of his mother, Lady Cordelia Ogbonne Anibeze.

During the burial ceremony at Ago bu owa, Ezeagu Local Government Area, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Aloysius Michael Okolie, sympathized with the family and shared his condolences.

In an interview with ESUT Monitor, Prof Okorie stated, “Death is inevitable, a debt we all must pay in this world. “He praised Prof Anibeze, saying, “He is a dedicated professor, always ready to discharge his duties. That’s why we stopped everything to be with him today and pay our last respects to his mother.”

Prof Okorie noted that the deceased lived a good life, raising five children as a single mother. “I lost my own mother last year, and the advice people gave me is what I’ll give him: take heart, it’s not over. We all know how life is without a mother, but it’s better for your mother to bury you than the other way around.”

He shared his personal experience, saying, “Last Christmas was very hard for me, celebrating Christmas without my mother for the first time. I man orphan, but that is the way we have seen it he said.
