2025 NPFL: Rangers GM Apologizes to Fans, Takes Responsibility for Team’s Poor Performance
By Timothy King
The General Manager of Rangers International football club Enugu, Barr. Amobi Ezeaku, has taken full responsibility of the club’s poor outing in their title defence season where series of bad performances saw the club finish 10th on the NPFL table.
The sports administrator made the honest admission during his post season world Press Conference at the Rangers Corporate office on Friday, where he said that he takes full responsibility of the club’s poor outing. “This year we came 10th, I take responsibility for that as the C. E. O of Rangers, I choose not to take responsibility for winning the league in the previous season but I take responsibility of what has happened in the just concluded 2024/2025 season, I don’t pass blames, I believe that we must face our challenges head on.” He said.
However, he went further to apologise to the fans for the bad match-day memories they were given in most of the home games across the season, as the club lost as many as six games at home and drew two. “We’re sorry to the fans, we broke their heart, we did not do this intentionally. In fact, for every game we lose, it’s as if ten years is taken off our life span, as the people who work in this club. So, to our fans, the true supporters of this club, people who love this club with all their hearts, we apologise for this bad run at the Cathedral, we promise you a better season than this one, come next season.” He pleaded.
Rangers International football club players are currently on a few weeks holiday as they take some time to reset and get ready for the 2025/2026 season which kicks off in August, 2025.
