20th ESUT’s Convocation: UNVEILING Best Graduating Student in Department of Banking and Finance, Alieze Augustina

Ahead of the 20th ESUT ‘s Convocation Ceremony which holds on Saturday, November 23, 2024, Our Day Two unveiling of Best Graduating Student series from departments features Miss Alieze Ogechi Augustina of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Management Sciences.

Born in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Miss Alieze graduated from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT during the 2022/2023 session where she horned her intellect, personality and world view.

She distinguished herself in her Department as she emerged the Best Graduating Student (BGS) among her set with Final Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4.47.

Calm, calculated and committed, Miss Alieze is currently undergoing her mandatory National Youth Service Corps NYSC programme in Abuja, Nigeria’s Seat of power.

She has flair for reading, is creative, loves learning and is also adventurous. She is one that can initiate and hold conversations.

Her turnoffs include laziness, bad attitude, dishonestly and procrastination. She aspires to be the best in her professional and create global impact in the banking sector.

She talked about what the BGS feat meant to her describing it as a reward for hardwork and a stepping stone to future sauces.

“Being the best graduating student is a testament to my hard work, dedication, and perseverance. It’s the culmination of my efforts and the realization of my goals, it’s a stepping stone to future success, a milestone in my academic journey and it also reminds me that my sacrifices and effort have paid off.

She shared her four years experience in ESUT with ESUT Monitor describing it as a mixed feeling of evolving realities of life particularly as a result of the high target she set for herself from day one

“Throughout my tertiary education, I had a mixed experience. While it was cool and fine in many aspects, I also faced significant stress due to my high expectations for myself. I have always been self-motivated and relied on my faith to drive me forward.

“Making friends and navigating diverse personalities was a challenge, but I embraced the opportunities to learn and grow. As a high achiever, I strived to excel in my department, which required dedication and perseverance. Despite the obstacles, I remained committed to creating a positive and enriching experience for myself during my time in in ESUT,” she said.
