“The Workshop on mentorship is to bring to the fore the benefits of mentoring in our life and living, highlight the attributes of mentor/mentee and their relationships .
“This will educate the ESUCOM/ESUT community and reinforce the need for functional mentorship to enhance career development and growth. Our roles as teachers does not end at going to the classrooms to teach and go, it is important that we take keen interest on the career development and progression of these children,” Prof Okafor said.
The Workshop which is the first of its kind in ESUCOM will become an annual event.
It could be recalled, that the ESUCOM has become a beehive of activities recently as a result of the pragmatic administration of Prof Uchenna Ekwochi. This year alone, the College has conducted Town Hall Meetings with the Staff and students, held induction/oat taking ceremony for new medical graduates and then the Mentorship Workshop.
This is outside the Innovative Merit Award held on 16th December 2024, among others geared towards enhancing learning, promoting efficiency in service and enthronement of academic excellence in the College.
