NAHE Visits ESUT VC Ahead of 2026 National Conference, Seeks Collaboration

ESUT — A delegation from the Nigerian Association of Health Educators (NAHE) and Health Education Practitioners of Nigeria (HEPN), Enugu State Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Prof Aloysius-Michaels Okolie on Tuesday
Led by Prof. Ngozi Ani, who serves as both the State Chairperson of the association and the HOD of Human Kinetics and Health Education at ESUT, stated that the visit aimed to solidify a partnership for the institution’s upcoming national conference.
While welcoming the delegates to the university on behalf of the management, the Vice-Chancellor commended them for chosen ESUT to host their annual conference in June and promised the the management would provide necessary support for the success of the programme.
Prof Okolie highlighted the critical roles health educators play in the society and urged the group to sustain their stride in creating awareness for a better, healthier society.
In an interview with ESUT Monitor, Prof. Ani emphasized that the collaboration is essential as the university prepares to host the 2026 National Conference.

“The visit is all about our association partnering with the university,” Prof. Ani stated. “Since ESUT will be hosting our 2026 National Conference, my committee deemed it fit to meet with the Vice-Chancellor and his team to find a way forward for a comfortable and hitch-free event.”
Prof. Ani described the meeting as a success, noting that the objectives of the visit were fully realized. “We interfaced with the Vice-Chancellor, and there are promising commitments to ensure the conference’s success,” she concluded.
The National Association of Health Educators (NAHE)/ Health Education Practitioners of Nigeria (HEPN) 2026 Annual Conference will hold from June 23rd through 27, at the ESUT main campus Ebe Ano City, Enugu. Anchored on the theme: Reimaging Health Education: Building Resilient Systems, Empowering Healthy Nations, will hold at the Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Auditorium
