One Dead, Three Injured in Amodu Awkunanaw Road Crash Involving Enugu State-ESUT BRT Bus

A fatal road accident occurred today in Amodu Awkunanaw, involving a bus conveying Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) students and staff to their examination.
According to reports, the bus was transporting students to their exam venue when it collided with a tricycle, popularly known as a Keke, coming from the opposite direction. The incident took place within the Amodu Community in Nkanu West Local Government Area.

The collision resulted in the instant death of one passenger in the Keke. Three other individuals sustained severe injuries and were unconscious at the time of filing this report. Fortunately, none of the ESUT students on board the bus sustained any injuries.
The President of the Student Union Government (SUG), Senator Nwobodo Chidera, who witnessed the incident, confirmed the crash. He commiserated with the family of the deceased, praying for the repose of their soul, and wished the injured casualties a quick recovery. He also urged all motorists to exercise caution and adhere strictly to road safety regulations to prevent future tragedies.
Furthermore, the student representative in charge of the Abakpa student axis confirmed via the Station Officer (SO) that all buses conveying ESUT students and staff have been suspended and recalled to the terminal following the incident.
