The Enugu State Polytechnic, ESPOLY, Iwollo has elected Arinze Solomon Ugonnaya as the new Speaker of the Student Union Government in an election conducted on Tuesday.

Arinze Solomon , a former Senator in the Student Union Government, stated in an exclusive online interview with ESUT Monitor that “this election today clearly showcases the principles of democracy, which I would say is free and fair. I am glad for the smooth process of this election.”

He added, “I may have encountered many hurdles through this path, but that is irrelevant for now, as victory is assured. I extend my humble salutation to the National Association of Nigerian Students Executive that came around to ensure this election was successful. Glory to God.”

He promised to discharge the best of his duty as the Speaker of Enugu State Polytechnic Iwollo and avoid breaking the trust given to him to represent the interest of the students, he said.
