The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr David Umahi will deliver the Enugu State State University of Science and Technology ESUT’s 20th Convocation Lecture, www.esutmonitor.com can authoritatively report.

The ESUT’s 20th Convocation Lecture will hold on Thursday, November 21st, 2024 at the new Barr Dr Peter Ndubisi Mbah Auditorium, ESUT main Campus, Agbani commencing from 11am.

The Lecture is part of the activities to mark the 20th Convocation Ceremony of Nigeria Oldest State University and conferment of degrees to graduates of 2023 including the ESUT Business School.

Hon Engr David Umahi is the immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State between 2015 and 2023 where he distinguished himself and restructured the state to be among the best in the country.

Governor Umahi is an alumnus of ESUT where he graduated from in 1987 with Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

Barely two months after her 19^th Convocation Ceremonies held on November 18, 2023, the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Esut has fixed date for her 20^th Convocation ceremony slated to hold later in the year.

ESUT Monitor can exclusively report that the 20th Convocation Ceremony will hold on Saturday, November 23^rd, 2024 at the university’s Convocation Ground, Ebe Ano City, Agbani in Nkanu West Local Government, Enugu State.

The approval of the date by the Visitor to the University, His Excellency, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, followed a proposed submitted to him by the management of the institution.

This paper further gathered that a date for the Special Honorary Convocation in honour of the Founder of the University, His Excellency, Chief Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo is currently being considered.

It could be recalled that the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aloysius-Michael[u1]  Okolie disclosed that the management will organise a special convocation ceremony in honour of the founder of the university.

 The Enugu State University of Science and technology, ESUT was established in 1980 during the administration of Jim Nwobodo as the Executive Governor of Anambra State.
