The Emeritus Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and Special Adviser to the Governor of Enugu State on Students Affairs, Hon. Prisca Okeke, has praised the incumbent Chairman, Comrade Ali Cajetan, for his leadership impact in Enugu State.

She stated this at the National Association of Nigerian Students Summit held at the Institution of Management Technology (IMT) on Saturday. She described leadership as not being a bed of roses but the ability to put things together to make a difference. My administration did well, but not to compare with Comrade Ali Cajetan’s tenure; I give respect to this leadership impact they have shown in Enugu State.

“As a student leader, try to deliver the mandate the people have given to you to protect them. A student leader is automatically a public speaker because you must need to pass information. I paid for a lot of public speaking training, and I got a lot for free. I encourage Nigerian students to learn how to do public speaking; you say your name very loudly, it is the most important information before any title you have, and building confidence to enable them to speak well.

“Let me also emphasis that student leadership is not for everybody because school will select you as a mandate, showing that you have no atom of cultism and you are qualified to lead. I encourage Nigerian students to carry themselves as leaders, and one day there will be a reward” she said.
