It is no longer news that the second semester examination in ESUT will start in less than a month, however, what is new is that dates for the conclusion of the current academic and beginning of 2026/2027 new sessions have been revealed.

ESUT Monitor gathered, authoritatively, that the 2025/2026 academic session in ESUT will end in August while the new session, 2026/2027 will begin two months later.

According to ESUT Registrar, Mr Ambrose Ugwu, “The current academic session is ending officially in August. And then the new session will begin in October. That is even the time we are expecting new students,” he exclusively told ESUT Monitor.

It could be recalled that the 2025/2026 academic session began on October 13, 2025

ESUT Monitor understands that the month of August periodically comes with deanship elections as well as appointments of Heads of Departments.

“We are already getting prepared to release memos for the deanship elections across all faculties, for the change of Heads of Department, and all these will be done in August,” the scribe said.
