The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Nomeks Hostel executives on Monday began their year Hostel Week event in grand style

The Hostel Week week which commenced on Monday June 22nd at the hostel complex, Ebeano City, saw residents of the hostel actively involved in the event.

Speaking with ESUT Monitor on the preparedness of the leadership of the hostel for the week-long event, the Governor of the Hostel, Comrade Ufoedu Favour stated that the Hostel Week is the hall’s flagship week of unity, culture, and celebration. Citing the theme “The Emergence of Queens”, which is 2026 edition designed to spotlight strength, sisterhood, talent, and legacy among hostel residents.

She explained the lineup of activities during the celebration to include:
Sports Day Workout challenges, strength & fitness tests, team competitions led by Coach Kachii.

Other activities for the event are: Garri Day – celebration of campus food culture, bonding, and fun talent; Cultural Day, Pageant, and Award Night to crown creativity, culture, and outstanding students living in the hostel,

She emphasised that “the purpose of thie Nomeks Hostel Week celebration is to build community, relieve academic stress, showcase student talent, and create memories that define “One Hall. One Family. One Legacy.” she said .

“The event promises unforgettable moments as Nomeks Queens step into their power and write the next chapter of the hall’s legacy”.

It could be recalled that last week the Student union Government organized for all students living in hostel and off campus.
