A Luminary in Academia Professor Linus Ogbuoshi Delivers ESUT 44th Inaugural Lecture Today

All roads will today, Thursday, 3rd April 2025, lead to the Enugu State University of Science and Technology to witness a momentous occasion: the inaugural lecture of the erudite Professor Linus Iloegbunam Ogbuoshi Chibueze. This lecture, titled “Communication and Innovation Paradigm in the Digital Age: Silent Saboteur Shaping Psychosocial Security in Nigeria,” marks the culmination of a remarkable career spanning over four decades.
A distinguished scholar, Professor Ogbuoshi has left an indelible mark on the field of communication and media studies. His exceptional leadership, innovative spirit, and dedication to academic excellence have inspired generations of scholars. With a plethora of publications, including textbooks and research papers, Professor Ogbuoshi has earned a reputation as a trailblazing scholar, garnering numerous academic awards and honours.
Professor Ogbuoshi’s commitment to mentoring and guiding students and colleagues has been unwavering. His tireless advocacy for hard work, honesty, and excellence has produced a generation of well-polished scholars. His legacy extends far beyond the academic community, with significant contributions to community service and social justice.
A respected administrator, Professor Ogbuoshi has held various positions, including Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Director of the Mature Students Programme. He has also served as an adjunct lecturer, external examiner, and resource person for the National University Commission (NUC).
Guided by a philosophy of life that emphasizes law and order, selfless service, integrity, honesty, objectivity, transparency, prudence, accountability, ethics, and morality, Professor Ogbuoshi has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and social responsibility.
