From the very beginning of my journey as a Mass Communication student, ESUT MONITOR NEWSPAPER became more than just a campus newspaper — it became a platform that shaped, stretched, and sharpened me.
I started humbly as a reporter, gathering stories, chasing facts, and learning the ropes of ethical journalism. But by my third year, I had the incredible opportunity to serve as an editor. That role opened a whole new world — from curating content to guiding fellow writers and Writing Feature stories, it was both challenging and exciting.

Through ESUT MONITOR NEWSPAPER, I gained hands-on experience: attending interviews, engaging with people from all walks of life, and building strong communication skills. It helped me understand the true power of media — not just in storytelling, but in connection, impact, and responsibility.
Now, as a graduate, I look back with deep gratitude. ESUT MONITOR NEWSPAPER wasn’t just a stepping stone — it was (and still is) part of my growth. Though I’ve moved on academically, my heart remains connected to this paper. I am proud to say I was once the future editor of ESUT MONITOR NEWSPAPER, and even prouder to still be part of its legacy.
Thank you, to everyone who made it easy and for believing in me, building me, and preparing me for the professional world. I look forward in assisting in anyway I can.
To our father and backbone Prof. Chidi Ezinwa; thank you sir…
And to our staff adviser Mr. Amaechi Agbo thank you for all the opportunities.
Daniel Amarachi Gloria
