Enugu, Agbani – The Speaker of the House of Representatives at the 10^th National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, will on Friday, November 21^st, 2025 deliver the 21st Convocation Lecture of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT)

Expected to be accompanied by a litany of members of the Green Chambers, hon Dr Abbas will deliver the Convocation Lecture at the Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Multi-Purpose Auditorium, Ebeano City, ESUT by 1pm

The Convocation Lecture is part of activities lined up by the university to mark its 21^st Convocation ceremony which will hold on Saturday, November 23^rd, 2025 at the ESUT Pavillion, Ebeano City, Agbani.

The activities marking the Convocation Ceremony will start on Monday, November 17 with clearance and collection of academic gowns by graduating students in the faculties and will be followed by Press Briefing by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie by 10am.

The following day, will be marked by Research and Innovation exhibition coordinated by the Directorate of Research and Innovation at the ESUT Pavilion.

Inter-Faculty Research Ideation Challenge – Grand Finale will hold on Wednesday at Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Multi-Purpose Auditorium while November 20th will feature Students’ Day to be coordinated by the Dean, Students’ Affairs featuring – Quiz and Debate Competition, Cultural Performances and Special rendition by the ESUT Choir at Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Multi-Purpose Auditorium.

 At 4pm same day, there will be Volleyball Match with Hostel Residents battling Lodge Residents (Female) at the ESUT Volleyball Court.

Other activities lined up on Friday are registration, accreditation of graduands and collection of academic gowns.

Alumni Day: “A Day of Eulogies and Tributes in Honour of the Icon and Pillar of the Modern-Day ESUT Alumni Association, Late Chief, Engr., Dr. Innocent I. Akuvue, KSJI, Hon DBA (ESUT), Ozo Ochudo Nibo”/ Interactive Session among Alumni-Alumnae/Industry Professionals/ Networking Session will hold from 10am at ESUT Alumni Centre.

At 1pm, the 21^st Convocation Lecture to be delivered by Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, Hon. Speaker, House of Representatives, Fed. Republic of Nigeria will commence at the Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Multi-Purpose Auditorium.

The day will be rounded off by another volleyball match between hostel residents versus lodge residents (male) by 4pm at the ESUT Volleyball Court.

Saturday, November 22nd, 2025 – Convocation Day.

The Convocation ceremony for the award of first, higher and honorary degrees, including presentation of special awards and prizes will start from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the ESUT Pavilion, Ebeano City, ESUT.

Sunday, November 23^rd will witness thanksgiving Mass/Church Service for graduates and their families at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, Ogui Enugu /Cathedral Church of Good Shephard, Independence Layout, Enugu (Concurrent Sessions) from 10am
