“University is governed by rules and not sentiments. Everything we do here is procedural. As an institution, we understand that students will face challenges and that is why the first thing you do as soon as you confirm your admission is to pay the required fees and carry out your registration processes. Until you register, you are not considered a bonafide member of the university.
“Secondly, in case for any reason you want to withdraw from the university or defer your admission, inform the management via letter through your HOD and you must get approval. Always seek for advice before you take any decision regarding your admission. Cultivate good relationship with your lecturers because they are here to help you.
“Above all, ESUT is not a place for lazy students. You must take your academic activities seriously. It is time to forget Facebook and face your books” he said.
Earlier in his opening address, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie congratulated the students for gaining admission into ESUT and urged them to make their parents proud.
