Wife of Enugu State Governor Launches Scholarship for 6000 JAMB, WAEC Candidates

The wife of Enugu State Governor, Her Excellency, Nkechinyere Mbah has unveiled scholarship scheme to help over 6000 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and WAEC candidates in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area register for and write the two exams.
Mrs Mbah who disclosed this on her social medial handle on Tuesday, said the scholarship is in collaboration with her foundation, Custos Care Foundation, Jimoh Raulf Badamosi (JRB) Solar Investment Limited and the Igbo-Eze South Local Council.
“I am pleased to formally announce the unveiling of an impactful initiative that will provide over 6,000 free JAMB and WAEC registrations to aspiring young scholars in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area.
“The Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, in collaboration with my office, my foundation, @custoscarefoundation, and Jimoh Raulf Badamosi (JRB) Solar Investment Limited, is launching this program to ensure that financial constraints do not limit the ambitions of our youth” she started.
She explained that the Local Government will sponsor 4, 000 JAMB candidates while her foundation will sponsor all girl-child for both JAMB and WAEC registrations.

“Under this scheme, the Igbo-Eze South Local Government Administration will sponsor over 4,000 JAMB registrations. To reinforce my personal dedication to advancing the education of the girl-child, my foundation, @custoscarefoundation, will be sponsoring all female JAMB candidates to ensure they have every opportunity to excel. Furthermore, all WAEC candidates will be fully supported through the partnership with JRB Solar Investment Limited, led by Alhaji Jimoh Raulf Badamosi.
“I highly commend the Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South LGA, Barr. Ugo Ferdinand Ukwueze, for this thoughtful initiative.
“By lifting the burden of these fees, we are investing directly in Enugu State’s intellectual capital and moving our young people one step closer to their academic goals,” she said.
She encouraged all eligible young people and parents in Igbo-Eze South LGA to take full advantage of the opportunity, to secure bright future for the children.
