Ahead of the 2026 Deanship elections in ESUT on Monday, the Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof Uchenna Ugwuanyi has promised to landscape the Department of Mass Communication within four months if re-elected.

Prof Ugwuanyi disclosed this in Enugu on Saturday during a meeting with the staff of the faculty.

The visibly elevated Dean expressed gratitude to the board and staff of the Faculty for the achievements recorded in his first tenure.

The Professor of Accounting who described his vision for second term as “Consolidation” said he would as always maintain comradeship and place the welfare of staff and students at premium

“Today, I am overwhelmed by the large turnout of our members at this meeting. We have come a long way. The modest achievements we recorded in the past two years are testament to the fact that our faculty needs transformation.

“Today, I want to say before everybody here, that if I am re-elected as the Dean of the Faculty, before December, I will pave Mass Communication Department. We are the only faculty in the university with three giangatic structures and we must protect all of them. Paving Mass Communication is a top priority that needs to be done as soon as practicable.

“I will, as I did in the past two years, consolidate on staff and students welfare. ” he said.

Speakers at the gathering eulogised the administrative sagacity of the Dean and assured him of their unalloyed support for his second term bid.

The 2026 ESUT Deanship Elections will hold on Monday, August 10, across all the 14 Faculties in the university
