The Management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) have suspended three undergraduate students of the Faculty of Law in their different years of study for two academic years each effective from 25th June, 2026 to 24th June 2028 for their involvement in examinations malpractice.

The affected students include two male and a female:

1. Isong Onyekachukwu Ugwu with Registration Number,  ESUT/2023030212973

2. Gad Nwosu, Registration Number ESUT/2022030203441

3. Roseline Chinyere Nnamani, Registration Number -ESUT/2024030219772

ESUT Vice-Chancellor, Prof Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, acting on behalf of the University Senate, approved the recommendations of the Senate Examinations Malpractice Committee.

In his memo of 30th July 2026, to each of the affected students conveying the suspension, ESUT Registrar – Ambrose Ugwu told them to hand over any property of the University that may be in their possession to their Head of Department and  vacate the campus immediately.

The memo further noted that the sponsors of the affected students and the National Universities Commission, NUC have been communicated of the development.

In addition, the students would need to apply for readmission at the expiration of their suspension in June 2028.

On the other hand, another student of the same Faculty of Law, Goodluck Iwuamadi with Registration Number ESUT/2025030227502   was exonerated from a case of Examination Malpractice in line with the recommendations of the Malpractice Committee.
