ESUT Holds Three-day Staff Training on Experiential Learning, Curriculum Upgrade from Monday

In continuation of the its quest to regularly equip the staff with requisite knowledge o professionalism and productivity, the management of Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) has announced a three-day training workshop for the staff.
The announcement was contained in a circular signed by the Director of Academic Planning, Prof Chike Anibeze on Monday and made available to ESUT Monitor.
Accroding to the circular, the three-day workshop which will training the staff on “Embedding Artificial Intelligence and Experiential Learning into the Institutional Curriculum for Innovation, Creativity and Real-world Problem-solving” will hold from Monday, August 31st to Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
The training which will have the Vice-Chancellor, ESUT, Prof Aloysius-Michaels Okolie as the Guest Speaker, will hold at the venue for the workshop is Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Multi-purpose Auditorium, ESUT Main Campus, Ebeano City, commencing from 10am each day
“The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, has approved the above-named workshop for the designated participants. The workshop is designed to strengthen the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and experiential learning into the University’s institutional curriculum, with a focus on fostering innovation, creativity, and real-world problem-solving.
“The details of the workshop are as follows:
Date: 31 August – 2 September 2026.
Time: 10:00 a.m. daily.
Venue: Dr Peter Mbah Auditorium, ESUT,
“Keynote Speaker: Professor Aloysius-Michaels Okolie, Vice-Chancellor, ESUT Component Vendor: Vertex Labs, Doha” Prof Anibeze said.
He further noted that categories of staff to attend the training include: “The workshop is intended for Provosts/Deans of Faculties, Directors of Academic/Relevant Institutes and Centres, Heads of Departments, Academic Programme Unit heads, Faculty Officers/Curriculum Coordinators, Selected Academic Faculty Staff, Vendor Representatives, ICTC/Quality Assurance Directors, NUC Rep.”
It could be recalled that EUT management has in the past three years organized capacity training workshops for the top ranked staff in the university.
Speaking in an interview, the Prof Anibeze said: “This is geared towards enhancing leadership capacity and strengthening the competencies required for effective work productivity. Designed for both academic and administrative leaders, the programme integrates experiential learning methodologies to foster collaboration, stimulate innovation, and enable institutions to adapt proactively to emerging educational and societal challenges,” Prof Anibeze said.
The first edition, a two-day training, was held on 19th and 20th September 2024, featuring the Secretary to the Enugu State Government, Prof Chidiebere Onyia as Guest Speaker.
The edition of the Workshop was held on Wednesday 8 through Thursday, 9th October 2025.
