Miss Marycynthia Onah has shattered records at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), emerging as the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science with an extraordinary Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.86 for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The academic milestone was officially celebrated during the department’s induction and professional oath-taking ceremony in July, where she was formally licensed by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

The induction, which marked the transition of 93 graduates into licensed medical laboratory professionals, became an arena of celebration for Miss Onah. Her exceptional feat drew massive applause from university administrators, senior academics, and proud regulatory officials.

Dignitaries at the event praised her relentless diligence, highlighting that maintaining a 4.86 CGPA in a rigorous, high-stakes medical discipline is a masterclass in resilience and absolute dedication.

Hon. Okey Mbah, member representing Nkanu East Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly, awarded Miss Onah N200,000 for her stellar academic performance and lauded ESUT for fostering academic excellence.

Meanwhile ESUT has fixed Saturday, November 21 as the Convocation date for the 2024/2025 graduates of the university where Miss Onah and her sets will be officially pronounced graduate by the university.
